Airlines...

With the questionable nature of Go! / Mesa Airlines’ future and US, UA, CO and others cutting back and grounding planes, its looking like a rough flying year ahead of us. Although there is at least one new player in the industry. They have an interesting spin on things, going for carbon neutral flying (they plant trees to offset the emissions) and taking the extra baggage fee one step further. It’s now a sliding scale based on weight. The theory being: the more weight you are responsible for adding the the aircraft, the more you should pay to make up for the increased amount of fuel you cause the plane to use.

=D
